Launched as motor sailer “Betsy Baird” fitted with 40hp Union twin cylinder petrol engine.
Bought by Glyn Parry of Puka Puka inlet, Mahurangi and renamed.
Used for collecting cream for the Glyn Dairy Co and coastal duties until factory ceased 1925.
Bought by Parry Brother Ltd c 1930 and used as a coastal tug until retirement in 1980. Used for fishing then as a diving support vessel. Then converted to pleasure use by subsequent owner. Salvaged at Herald Island by present owner June 2003 and is being brought back into condition while being kept in use (mainly for pleasure).
